How to Plan Your Event Budget
Thank you for getting in touch with us about possibly having your special event at the Merrimack Valley Railroad Venue.
This building is a restored 1800’s Freight Station. The old-time charm and the vintage vibe are present throughout. There is no doubt you and your guests will love it.
It’s always a good idea to know where your budget might land before you book. We are here to help you be totally comfortable moving forward.
Your venue space, your beverages and your food are done with one point of contact to make your planning simple.
Having an event at our venue sort of breaks down into three parts.
You pick the best rental rate that works for you. All rates are clearly laid out on our rates page. Your choice should come down to how long you want the space for. For example… Most weddings do an overnight or a full day. Most personal/ family parties do at least a five hour or full day. While some weekday/ corporate events might be ok with the five hour or the two and a half hour. All rates are subject to NH State Room Rental Tax of 8.5%.
Once you book we start the planning process. We figure out the direction on your beverage service based on our options. We will give you sound advice as to the number of bar tenders and other important pieces of information. Your bar service is made up of stock, labor, NH Tax and Minimum Gratuity. Food is step three. Your budget can vary greatly based on your guest count and the vibe of your event. We will give you great recommendations for your food based on the type of event you are hosting. For example… If you envision an event with stationary and passed appetizers for example, we are not going to recommend buffets. All of our food prices are posted on our catering website. Go to the food section of this site for a link over. Catering budgets will be subject to NH Tax and, at times, a service charge and minimum gratuity.
